Turkey Beach

Description

Turkey Beach is a quiet coastal village known for its relaxed fishing culture and distinctive row of tractors lined up near the boat ramp. These tractors are used by locals to launch boats and have become a familiar part of the town’s character.

The village began as a small beach shack community and is now known for its calm waters, sheltered bay and excellent crabbing and fishing. Mangrove jack is a prized catch, and anglers also target bream, flathead and cod. Visitors often meet locals along the shoreline who are happy to share advice.

Turkey Beach is close to key Discovery Coast destinations and sits near the entrance to Eurimbula National Park. A four wheel drive track leads through the forest and reaches the coast on the opposite side.

The town remains largely undeveloped, creating a peaceful place to unwind. It is well suited to travellers who enjoy boating, fishing and exploring natural surroundings.
