Baffle Creek

Description

Baffle Creek is one of Queensland’s few remaining undisturbed coastal rivers and a recognised haven for nature lovers.

Located just south of Agnes Water, the broader Baffle Creek area, including Wartburg and Rules Beach, is known for its natural beauty, subtropical quiet, rich history and wide-open waterways, wetlands, coastline and coral reefs.

The region is ideal for fishing, boating and canoeing, with an extensive estuary system and winding tributaries to explore. There are also several four-wheel-drive tracks that offer adventure for families and experienced drivers alike.

The Baffle Creek Catchment Area features a mix of national parks, conservation parks and state forests. These landscapes include eucalypt forests, subtropical and dry rainforest, littoral rainforest and habitat for an impressive range of wildlife. Together, they provide endless opportunities to explore, unwind and enjoy a memorable holiday.
