Myella Farm Stay is still open to accommodation bookings for local workers, however no meals are available and our self-catering facilities are not available for use.  Myella is not currently taking holiday or camping bookings.

Come and live the real outback life. Myella is a working cattle farm situated 1.5 hours from Rockhampton. Start your outback adventure at Myella Farm Stay with horse riding, motorbike lessons, cow milking, whip cracking, lasso, feed cows, horses and chickens. See the wild kangaroos, go on a bush walk or just take in the breathtaking country scenery.

Accommodation and meals are also available at Myella Farm Stay.

DIRECTIONS

HOW DO WE GET TO THE FARM?BY BUS FROM ROCKHAMPTON – Pickup 6.30am and Return 19.00pm.Myella will pick you up from Rockhampton at 6.30am. Phone to arrange a pickup point, from where ever you are in Rockhampton. Currently most guests are picked up from the bus station, YHA or the Ascot Hotel. The return at the end of your farmstay gets you into Rockhampton at 19.00pm.Transfers Tuesday to Saturday and occasional weekends.Phone (07 4998 1290) 24 hours to confirm pickup

BY CAR: Myella is 125km South West of Rockhampton. The journey takes 1 ½ hrs. Airlie Beach is 6½ hrs from Myella. Hervey Bay is 5hrs from Myella. From South we recommend the inland route via the Burnette Highway, it is more scenic. If you look at a detailed map, although you won’t see Myella, it is between Kokotungo and Koemba and the closest town is Baralaba.Sign up for horse riding at 8am. Some people with a car prefer to arrive at Myella at 17.30pm the night before starting their farm stay. Phone for the price of that dinner, bed and breakfast.
