Gladstone’s first McDonald’s restaurant opened at Kin Kora in October 1991.  Today there are 4 McDonald’s restaurants in Gladstone and Calliope which are all franchised and run by local resident Tony Ward. These restaurants employ more than 320 people in the area and provide training and people development.
