CRUISE TRANSPORT & TRAVEL

Once disembarking the ship, there are a number of attractions within walking distance for cruise passengers to enjoy. This includes the East Shores Precinct, Feast on East Markets, HMAS Gladstone, Auckland Point Lookout and the nearby Gladstone CBD. However if you don’t wish to walk to the CBD or if you would like to explore the region further, there are many convenient transport options available; 

Shuttle Bus Service

A shuttle bus service is available for cruise passengers with frequent stops at key destinations in Gladstone. This service operates as a hop-on hop-off style shuttle and stops at the following locations; Spinnaker Park, Stockland Shopping Centre, Gladstone Regional Art Gallery & Museum, Gladstone CBD and returning to East Shores Precinct. An all-day pass can be purchased on the ship or before boarding the shuttle bus. The shuttle bus departs and arrives at the Yacht Club entrance of East Shores (Flinders Parade). Bookings are recommended, as the early trips do sell out.

Taxis

Taxis are readily available at the entrance to the Feast on East Markets, just 200m from disembarkation. Bookings are not required however for any mobility issues, please call ahead to have the taxi collect passengers from the cruise terminal. For Gladstone Blue and White taxis phone (07) 4972 1800. 

Car Hire

Experience the Gladstone Region and all that it has to offer, at your own convenience with a hire car. Avis Gladstone and Budget Rent a Car are located at the entrance to the Feast on East Markets, just 200m from disembarkation. Pre-booking is recommended to ensure a vehicle is available on disembarkation. Bookings can also be made on the day at the car hire marquees, but a short wait may be needed for the car to arrive.

Gladstone CBD

Goondoon Street

The Gladstone CBD offers wide variety of cafes / restaurants, local boutiques and countless colonial buildings. The Regional Art Gallery and Museum is also located in Goondoon Street for the art lovers.

Gladstone Valley Shopping Centre

Located at the end of Goondoon Street, this shopping centre is close to St Vincent’s De Paul (Op Shop) – if you are looking for a last-minute fancy dress outfit. Here you will also find Woolworths, the Reject Shop and local post office; plus many other small retailers.

Bunnings Centre

Dawson Highway

A 10 minute drive from Gladstone city is the Bunnings Centre with stores including BCF, Chemist Warehouse, Harvey Norman and Pillow Talk.

Stockland Gladstone

Dawson Highway & Phillip Street

Stockland Gladstone offers a diverse range of speciality stores, including Kmart, Target & Big W, with McDonalds close by. The Verandah – located on the outside of Stockland, is Gladstone’s most popular place to eat out.

Gladstone Central Shopping Centre (Night Owl)

Corner Dawson Highway & Park Street

Catch a new release at the Gladstone Cinemas or spend the day playing games in the arcade. There is also a doctor surgery and chemist available in this shopping centre, with plenty of eateries on offer too.
