The Australian National Busking Championships (ANBC) started in 2012 in the township of Cooma NSW. Since then the ANBC has grown into a network of busking festivals, held in country towns and regional centres all over Australia.

Each of the participating towns holds an annual ANBC Regional Busking Competition. The winners of each of the age categories are then invited to compete in the ANBC National Grand Final in Cooma!
DATE & TIME: Saturday 23 July : 11 am- 5pm
WHERE: Busking Stations : Gladstone CBD
Buskers are assigned a ‘Busking Station’ at various times along Goondoon Street and East Shores.
A timetable with a map of all the busking performances will ensure a well-ordered running of the day. The buskers will perform as many as four half-hour sets during the day.
Busking will take place from 11.00am – 5.00pm.
Three roaming judges will assess the performances.
The public will be able to purchase busker Tokens for $1 each and vote for their favourite busker by tipping them with Busker Tokens.
A Finals Concert and Awards Presentation will be held at 6:00PM at the Auckland House Stage.
Monetary prizes for First, Second & Third Places of each of the following categories:
– Open age (18 years and over)
– Secondary Age (13-17 years)
– Primary Age (13 years and under)
– People’s Choice Award (highest no. of tokens)
– Special Judges Awards (Judges Discretion)
– Art Trail Award
There is a small registration fee of:
– $20 per busker
– $40 per duo
– $50 per group of 3 or more
