What's On in the Gladstone Region - January

Summer is well and truly here and what better way to kick start the events calendar for a new decade than with a Festival of Summer! January is also filled with lots of regular favourites, draw-card events such as the Super Rugby and of course it wouldn't be January if we didn't end the month with an Australia Day Family Fun Day.

The perfect ending to a busy week as you unwind at Friday Night at Crow Street. Enjoy live music, food and drinks, exhibitions, performances, free art workshops, a fun kids space, open mic and so much more.

When: Friday 10 January, From 6:00pm

Crow Street Creative Food and Music Fest is back! Be entertainment by live local music from an exciting main act and some very special guests and fill your bellies with food from Barbecue Fairy and a range of other awesome food vendors. Be inspired with the art gallery open late or try your hand at open mic from 8:30pm.

When: Saturday 25 January, From 6:00pm
Where: 8 Crow Street, Gladstone

A week long festival of youth inspired events for 11 - 17 year old's to get the kids out of the house and making memories.. From an Opening Festival, Days of Summer and Festival of Summer Sounds and every other event in between, there is something that matches every interest throughout the week.

As the Gladstone Region continues to position itself as a premier location for top-level sporting events, the Gladstone Regional Council bring you a Super Rugby Pre-Season Match between the Queensland Reds and Melbourne Rebels. As an added bonus. the revenue from ticket sales will be donated to local farmers through the Gladstone Region Drought Appeal. 

When: Friday 17 January, 12:30pm - 7:00pm

The Calliope Rodeo and Specialty Events bring you an action packed, family friendly event this Australia Day weekend with Bulls - Boots and BBQ's. So put on your boots and your cowboy hat and head along to enjoy a fun country event. 

When: Saturday 25 January, 3:00pm - Midnight  
Where: Taragoola Road, Calliope  
Cost: Children under 12 - free, aged pensioner/high school students - $10, adults - $15

Celebrate Australia Day with a free Family Fun Day including a free sausage sizzle, market and food stalls, a giant inflatable obstacle course and lots of Australian-themed activities and games.

Coinciding with the docking of the Pacific Explorer, you'll find a multitude of market stalls, smorgasbord of food stalls and local talent to keep you entertained all day. East Shores is a stunning location that becomes the ideal venue to showcase the best our region has to offer.
