Boyne Tannum HookUp

Australia's top family fishing competition in our premier fishing location is back for it's 24th year. Bringing together family and friends from all parts of Australia over a three day competition, the 2019 Boyne Tannum HookUp boasts a prize pool worth over $300,000, with both adult and junior categories. 

When: Friday 3 May - Sunday 5 May, various times 
Where: Bray Park, Boyne Island  
Cost: Free to attend | Competition registration ranges from $40 - $90

Fresh Produce Market

The Fresh Produce Market will see the Lightbox courtyard turn in to a sea of fresh produce and the Little Bloom Room's signature floral arrangements. Be sure to get in early because such quality produce won't last long!

When: Saturday 4 May 7:00am - 12:00pm  
Where:  Lightbox espresso + wine bar, Goondoon Street

Friday Night at Crow Street

Gladstone's own art precinct presents an experience like no other, featuring exhibitions, performances, free art workshops for kids and adults, plus so much more. There will be live music from 6:00pm, an open mic from 8:00pm and a kids space including glow in the dark hula hoops and dress ups!

When: Friday 10 May 6:00pm - 9:00pm

Santos GLNG Mayor's Charity Ball

Fundraise in style with special guests and live entertainment at the fifth biennial Santos GLNG Mayor's Charity Ball. A highlight of the 2019 event calendar, this year the beneficiaries include Port Curtis District Scouts, Creative Recycling Gladstone, Gladstone Community Linking Agency and the Zonta Club of Gladstone. Time to pull out your black tie and ball gown and dress up for wonderful local causes. 

When: Saturday 11 May 6:00pm - 11:59pm  
Where: Gladstone Entertainment Convention Centre, Goondoon Street

Captain Cook 1770 Festival

​This family friendly three day festival is in it's 27th year coming together to celebrate the anniversary of when the HMB Endeavour anchored in Bustard Bay. The festival will begin on Friday with a re-enactment of Lt Cook and his crew coming ashore for only the second time on the east coast of Australia, Saturday will bring you the Festival Street Parade and community festival and Sunday will finish with the inaugural Fun Run. The theme this year fittingly is 'Experiences in Paradise'. 

When: Friday 24 May - Sunday 26 May, various times
Where: 1770 SES Grounds
