What's On in the Gladstone Region - August

​There's no slowing down in August; it's quite the month in the Gladstone Region! Full of family friendly events - whether it be listening to an orchestra under the stars at the marina or getting the family to hit the pavement together for Gladstone's favourite funD run, August is rounding out winter in a very social way! 

Queensland Symphony Orchestra - Under the Stars

Presented by Gladstone Regional Council and Australia Pacific LNG operated by Conoco Phillips, let the Queensland Symphony Orchestra entertain you as they transport you into the world of water with their 'Sounds from the Deep' free music concert. Take along a chair or picnic blanket and enjoy a night under the stars and the musical delight. Food and beverage vendors will be available so dinner is taken care of. 

When: Friday 2 August, 5:30pm

Beach Arts Music - BAM Markets

BAM Markets are for everyone - whether you want to enjoy some live music in the beach front setting, treating yourself to some tasty eats or you just love nothing more than strolling through the variety of stalls to see what treasure you can find. BAM Markets are always an awesome family friendly outing that's not to be missed! 

When: Saturday 3 August, 2:00pm - 7:00pm

Feast East Markets

​East Shores Precinct will come alive with the Feast on East Markets this month! Come and see the spectacle of the Pacific Explorer as she docks into the Gladstone Harbour. Wander through the market area or relax and enjoy the local entertainment on offer.

Live @ Library Square

Escape the midday madness and brighten up your break! Live @ Library Square is here to help you recharge, refresh and relax whilst showcasing Gladstone's local music talents!

Friday Night at Crow Street

Gladstone's own art precinct presents an experience like no other, featuring exhibitions, performances, free art workshops for all ages and so much more. There will be live music from 6:00pm, an open mic from 8:00pm and a kids space including glow in the dark hula hoops and dress ups! 

When: Friday 9 August, 6:00pm- 9:00pm

Botanic to Bridge

Gladstone's favourite funD run is held in August each year and is an event for all ages and fitness levels. This year the event is celebrating its 10th anniversary. Register as an individual, family or team to raise funds for local schools and a community beneficiary.

When: Sunday 18 August, 6:00am - 11:00am
Where: Gladstone Toondoon Botanic Gardens
Cost: ​Free (children four and under) - $25 (Individual Open)
