1. 1770 Butterfly Walk (Joseph Banks Conservation Park)

Discover the beauty of Joseph Banks Conservation Park on this bush walking adventure. Throughout the autumn and winter months, you will notice the magnificent blue tiger butterflies as they flock to the Town of 1770 during their migration. The walk starts at the Captain Cook Monument, taking you along the shoreline of Round Hill Creek for approximately 1.2 kilometres. The track leads to the 1770 Headland which offers spectacular views overlooking Bustard Bay.

2. Paperbark Trail
Difficulty: Easy | Distance: 400m | Time: Allow min 45 minutes
The clicking and humming of distinctive frog calls will provide nature's soundtrack as you weave your way around the circular paperbark trail in Reedy Creek Reserve. This short but whimsical walk will take you into the heart of a very special type of forest, rarely seen in such pristine condition. Here you'll encounter stepping stones, boardwalk sections and water crossings!
To find this hidden gem follow Springs Road for a little over 2.5 kilometres from Agnes Water and look for the large Reedy Creek Reserve sign on the right.

3. Agnes Water Beach to 1770 Headland Lookout
Difficulty: Intermediate | Distance: 5.5km | Time: Allow min 1 hour
This scenic walk promises long golden beaches, crashing white waves and aquamarine ocean as far as the eye can see. Plus if it's whale season you might just spot some of these gentle marine giants from the headlands! Starting from Tom Jeffery Park at Agnes Street, this walk will take you along Agnes Water beach all the way up to the 1770 Headland Lookout.
Please ensure you take bottled water, a hat and sunscreen.
Dogs are permitted on parts of this walk - please read all signs relating to dogs.
4. 1770 Foreshore
Difficulty: Easy | Time: Allow min 30 minutes
You'll find an abundance of green space and spectacular waterways as you walk along the 1770 foreshore of Round Hill Creek. Start at the boardwalk and continue into the parkland, taking in the magical views overlooking Bustard Bay. As you walk further around the foreshore, follow the steps on the right that will lead you to the Captain Cook Monument.
TIP: The 1770 Foreshore is the perfect spot to unwind and take in the famous 1770 sunset - whether from the beach, parkland or local cafe.
Dogs are permitted and must be kept on a leash at all times.
5. Discovery Trail
Difficulty: Moderate | Time: Allow min 1 hour
If you're looking for a quiet and peaceful bush walk without the crowds, the Discovery Trail will not disappoint! This walking trail takes you through native bushland to the Agnes Water Lookout, where panoramic views of Workmans Beach and Agnes Water Beach are on offer. Enter the trail via the car park directly behind the Agnes Water Museum located on 71 Springs Road, Agnes Water.

6. Red Rock Walking Trail
Difficulty: Intermediate | Distance: 2.5km | Time: Allow 2 hours or more
Pristine beaches, superb scenery and a turtle hatching experience (if you're lucky) are only a few of the magical features of the Red Rock Walking Trail. The trail requires a reasonable level of fitness as you will encounter steep inclines, boardwalks, sand and stepping stones. Follow Springs Road for approximately 2.5 kilometers and enter the sandy track on the left, opposite the "Reedy Creek Reserve" sign. Follow the track for 800 metres and park near the trees. Please do not enter the private properties at any time.
