Tex Perkins & The Fat Rubber Band
The year’s headline act is none other than Aussie icon Tex Perkins joined by The Fat Rubber Band. Playing a key role in Australian music, Tex’s eclectic and charismatic career has taken in everything from hard edged pub rock to his recent notable stage performance channeling Johnny Cash in The Man in Black. Be surprised, be captivated, be moved and let Olivia Ruth rock you as they return to the Agnes Blues, Roots & Rock Festival stage. Expect dynamic vocals, impressively crafted original songs, and a tight and solid group of artists who are passionate about their music. Delta Blues will cross like a well-seasoned suitcase with the Tex-Mex-Aussie-roots of music adventurer and reckless globetrotter Somerset Barnard when he features as the International Artist on this year’s lineup. From travelling the world with his music to starring in a Bollywood movie, Barnard will bring his musical talents right here in the Discovery Coast. Round Mountain Girls
Get ready to dance till you drop when Round Mountain Girls hit the stage. With not one girl among them, they have played on the nation’s biggest stages and at the biggest festivals and with some of the world’s biggest names. Fast and furious, tender and humorous, Round Mountain Girls will capture your attention from the second they begin. Award-winning “Soul Fire Musician” Matty Rogers is taking a break from his Byron Bay recording studio where he’s busy working on his 4th Studio Album to perform for the first time on the Agnes Blues, Roots & Rock stage. You could be forgiven for feeling like his songs are literally about you and your life as you witness his amazing gift for heart-felt story-telling right in front of your eyes.
