Name: Maxine Brushe
Positon: Chairperson
Maxine Brushe has been a Director of GAPDL since 1991 and Chair from 2000-2004 and has spent 13 years as Calliope Shire Councillor (5 as Deputy Mayor) and recently elected to Gladstone Regional Council.
Maxine has been a small business partner for 15 years and is currently employed by Education Queensland as Senior Project Officer. Maxine has extensive community involvement as Secretary Bindaree Lodge Management Board Inc, President Boyne Tannum Arts Business Community (BTABC) Assoc Inc, Secretary Schools and Industry Network Inc, Patron of Boyne Tannum Swim Club, and a Rotary International Paul Harris Fellow.

Position: Deputy Chairperson
Andrew Bauer is the Owner/Manager of Bank of Queensland, Gladstone. Previously, Andrew was the Director of the State Development Centre (SDC), Gladstone where he was a key participant on the GAPDL Development Committee for the past 3 years. Andrew's work history includes

Name: Leigh Zimmerlie
Position: Deputy Chairperson
Leigh has been employed by The Rock Building Society Limited since 2002, Leigh Zimmerlie currently holds the position of Head of Retail Banking and before that was the Area Manager. Prior to commencing with The Rock Building Society Limited, she was employed as a Branch Manager of Suncorp Metway for five years.
Leigh has over 17 years in the finance industry and holds an Associate Diploma in Financial Services and an Associate of the Australian Institute of Finance. Leigh has held the position of Deputy Chairperson with GAPDL since 2004 and prior to this was an elected Board member.

Judy has over 30 years experience with event management and is a registered Civil Marriage Celebrant. Judy is also a former long term secretary of Roseberry Commmunity Services inaugral Chairperson of Gladstone Men's Shelter.

Peter is currently the Chief Financial Officer and Company Secretary for Queensland Alumina Limited. He has spent the past 30 years in the finance roles within the Resources sector. He has a Bachelor of Finance Administration and is a Certified Practicing Accountant.

Name: Chris Brooker
Position: Elected Director
Chris Brooker is the QantasLink Area Sales Manager for the Gladstone region. His role brings him in contact with members of the tourism industry, local government, industry and "the flying public" in Gladstone, Rockhampton, Western Queensland and Brisbane. Prior to commencing his current role, he was the route manager for Brisbane to Gladstone flights in the revenue management department of QantasLink for 2 years.
Originally born in New Zealand (please don't hold this against him) he studied marketing at Otago University before setting off to London to work as a travel agent on a working holiday for 2 years. Chris is based in Brisbane but spends at least 5 days a month working in Gladstone.

Name: Grant Cooper
Position: Elected Director
It is very rare in radio circles that one announcer stays put for any length of time however Grant found his new home in Gladstone after accepting a job at 4CC from South Australia in 1988.
From the creative department, program manager & senior sales staff, Grant always kept the Breakfast Show humming with an emphasis on local events & civic pride.
After only a couple of short stints away from the microphone, Grant retired from 4CC after 15 years and a total of 20 years in radio in 2006 and put his marketing & creative knowledge into building Gladstone’s first full service Advertising Agency.
Teaming up with Jamie McKenzie and his wife Natalie, the three created Cooper McKenzie Marketing in Oct 2005 with an impressive list of local clientele willing to be onboard from day one.
Since then the company has grown to manage the marketing needs of national, state wide & local retailers and service orientated businesses.
With an obvious passion for the greater Gladstone, area it was only a matter of time before he found his way onto the board of the GAPDL and Chairperson of the GAPDL Tourism Subcommittee.

Name: Colin Burke
Position: Elected Director
Colin is a qualified Real Estate Agent, Strata Manager and Auctioneer, Zone Chair for REIQ Central Queensland, Member of Rotary Club for Port Curtis, Arts Council, Gropers Masters Swimming Club, Bunbury Players and the Salvation Army Red Shield Committee Member.

Name: Kate Kick
Position: Elected Director
Motivated by the absolute beauty of the Town of 1770/AgnesWater encouraged a sea change for Kate Kick just over a year ago. Since moving to the area from Melbourne Kate has held the position of Marketing Manager with 1770 Holidays. She is also a member of the Discovery Coast Tourism and Commerce Marketing Sub Commitee and is an active member of the Lions Club. Kate, along with her husband, have recently started operating there own holiday rental property, The Big Blue.
Prior to arriving in the Town of 1770/Agnes Water Kate worked with the Flight Centre for five exciting years as Travel Agent, Senior Travel Agent, Assistant Manager and Manager. Before beginning her travel career Kate worked in Agriculture with AWB LTD. She studied Agricultural Services (Business), focusing on Wool Marketing, at VCAH Longerenong, a campus of Melbourne University. After finishing her studies in Australia, she attended the University Of Minnesota on a two year Agricultural exchange and then traveled the world for 3 more years.

Name: Noel Wootton
Position: Elected Director
A retired journalist, public relations professional and manager, Noel worked with the aluminium industry in Gladstone for 29 years.
Extensive community involvement included the Gladstone Harbour Festival. He helped the early formation of GAPDL, later becoming its Marketing Manager, followed by 6 years as General Manager. He retired in 2004 and is now a member of several boards and committees.

Name: Rowen Harvey
Position: Tourism Queensland Representative
Rowen Harvey has over 15 years’ experience as a leader in strategic human resource management, specialist organisational development, training and consulting services. Rowen is the Director of People and Leadership (Human Resources) with Tourism Queensland.
Prior to joining Tourism Queensland Rowen has worked in a range of senior Human Resource Management roles, such as Rowland consulting to KR Castlemaine, Devine Limited, Xstrata Copper, and working in Senior Executive positions in Boeing Australia, Ergon Energy, Queensland Rail, Flight Centre, Suncorp Metway, Ansett Australia and Westpac Banking Corporation.

Name: Matt Burnett
Position: Gladstone Regional Council Representative
Gladstone born and bred, at 33 Matt Burnett is the youngest Councillor on the Gladstone Regional Council. Matt was first elected to Gladstone City Council in March 2000 and returned in 2004. From 2004 – 2008 he was Gladstone City Council’s Chairman of Infrastructure Services.
Following the 2008 election Matt was appointed as the Gladstone Regional Council representative on the Gladstone Area Promotion and Development Ltd (GAPDL), Traffic & Environment Advisory Committee, Urban Local Government Association and the Queensland Statewide Health Service Plan 2007-2012 Reference Group.
He has previously represented Council on The Civic Beautification Committee, The Gladstone Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Gladstone Calliope Aerodrome Board and the Municipal Band Committee.
Matt also represents the Gladstone region as a member of the local Community Health Council.

Mitchell has been the Manager Community Relations at Rio Tinto Aluminium Yarwun since 2005. Prior to this he was the Manager External Affairs Rio Tinto Coal Australia from 2000 to 2005. Also, he is currently the Executive Officer for Comalco Community Fund Gladstone.

Tim is currently the co-proprietor at Palm Valley Motel. Previosuly in sales at Westpac Equipment Finance in Brisbane from 2001-2005.
Tim also worked for GE Money in Brisbane as the Team Leader and he was involved in numerous six sigma projects and process improvement projects Nation Wide.
Tim is currently a member of BTABC (Boyne Tannum Arts Business Commerce Community Group).

Position: Monto Area Members' Representative
Lyn is the part owner of Waratah Vineyard for 9 years and previously a hotel owner for 4 years and worked in retail for 15 years, 5 years of which as a manager.
Lyn has been a Justice of the Peace and Commissioner of Declerations for over 20 years. And is also involved in QCWA, Loval Show Society, Chamber of Commerce and the Garden Expo.
