About GAPDL
Gladstone Area Promotion and Development Ltd (GAPDL) is an enthusiastic and dynamic organisation with a charter to promote and develop the Gladstone Region.
GAPDL is a non-for-profit organisation founded in 1983. The organisation was formed to meet a community and business need for a representative organisation to coordinate and promote tourism and economic growth, together with a goal of improving the city’s image. GAPDL is also a membership driven organisation. The organisation represents a strong membership of some 360 organisations - authorities, industries, large and small firms, businesses and community organisations.
Today, GAPDL is the lead economic, tourism and community development agency of the Gladstone Region. The organisation has State Government recognition through Tourism Queensland as one of Queensland’s 14 defined tourist regions and by the Department of State Development, Trade and Innovation as a significant and “flagship” centre of economic growth.
