In this exhilarating production, Gene seamlessly combines technically astounding drumming with humorous novelty acts, and showcases his ability to make music from kids toys, office equipment, junk, kitchen utensils and more!

It's a petting zoo, but not as you know it. Meet Erth's awesome prehistoric creatures, from cute baby dinos to teeth-gnashing giants. Ancient life-like dinosaurs are alive and mostly friendly in this fun, educational and unique performance event that will delight children of all ages. Get up close and personal with an amazing array of creatures from bygone eras. Meet a menagerie of insects, mammals and dinosaurs that once roamed free around the southern hemisphere, and are now in residence at the petting zoo. Children of all ages can watch wide-eyed from a safe distance, or may be invited to get right up close to the creatures. Some of the dinosaurs you will meet are: The Dwarf Allosaur, a Victorian Theropod who will have you shaking in your boots! The Meganuera, a Devonian dragonfly that is the largest insect ever to have lived on earth! The Leallynasaura, a polar dinosaur who can see in the dark! The Dryosaur or Mimmi babies, a handful but the cutest additions to the show! Supported by The Observer & Hot FM.

The Calliope River Historical Village comes to life on this huge day of markets! There’s food, stalls, brick-a-brack, vegetables and plenty of rides for the kids including a pet farm and train ride. A visit to the Calliope River Historical Village is a walk down memory lane, past some of the early buildings from the area including the old pub (not used as a pub anymore), church and the Raglan Dance Hall. Entry is a gold coin donation and the markets are run from 8.00am to 4.00pm. The Calliope River Historical Village is located on the Bruce Highway, six kilometers north of Calliope and roughly 35 minutes west of Gladstone.
