The Moura Coal and Country Festival is a recognised regional event hosting the Queensland Coal Shovelling and Roof Bolting Titles. Wood Chopping and Chain Saw Events along with the APRA Rodeo attract both town and country folk and ensures the town is overwhelmed with visitors.

In 2012 the festival celebrates its 41st year with the Troy Cassar-Daly Concert kick starting the weekend of festivities. There will be plenty to see and do for all ages with side show alley, helicopter rides, motor bike events, children entertainers and wheel barrow race. There will be a lots of stalls and a variety of foods, plus didgeridoo player and the dog jumping competition. The huge fireworks display is something to remember. This year we plan to add some extra excitement with a Fire and Rescue Display.
