Gladstone Area Promotion and Development Ltd was among twenty-five not-for-profit business advisory organisations who received Australian Government Funding under the Small Business Advisory Services, National Disaster Assistance Program to help small businesses affected by the recent natural disasters.
The grants were designed to ensure businesses disadvantaged by last summer's natural disasters were provided with support to get back on their feet. GAPDL is supporting these small businesses by providing access to advice on business planning, finance, marketing, legal and accounting matters, government regulations and referrals.
The Gladstone Region Small Business Advisory Service will continue the work carried out over the last 18months under the popular Project GROW initiative. Project GROW, developed through a similar funding stream, saw over 400 business throughout the Gladstone Region assisted with online and social media marketing strategies, website construction and maintenance and utilising the internet to improve their market position.
